Edward Behuncik was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1912. He was a lawyer, founder of the Slovak World Congress and a participant in other organizations related to Slovakia and the Democratic Party, in particular the Slovak League of America, Slovak Catholic Sokol and the First Catholic Slovak Union.
